Doth not wisdom cry? And understanding put forth her voice?
Today’s wisdom chapter is Proverbs 8.
I don’t want to look at just one verse today. I want to give you several verses as bullet points.
These truths from Proverbs 8 are principles of how to ignite wisdom in our lives. In order to live life on God’s terms, we must learn how to operate with wisdom.
Here are a few key verses I’ve extracted from Chapter 8.
God is trying to get wisdom to you. Not keep it from you
2 On the hilltop along the road,
she takes her stand at the crossroads.
3 By the gates at the entrance to the town,
on the road leading in, she cries aloud,
We must tune in our ears to hear
6 Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you.
Everything I say is right,
God’s word is truth. Settle it. Everything that contradicts it is false.
7 for I speak the truth
and detest every kind of deception.
Wisdom will counsel you
14 Common sense and success belong to me.
Insight and strength are mine.
Wisdom will help you rule as a King
15 Because of me, kings reign,
and rulers make just decrees.
16 Rulers lead with my help,
and nobles make righteous judgments.
Riches and honor are the fruit of wisdom
18 I have riches and honor,
as well as enduring wealth and justice.
21 Those who love me inherit wealth.
I will fill their treasuries.
There is special blessing attached to wisdom
32 “And so, my children,[b] listen to me,
for all who follow my ways are joyful.
34 Joyful are those who listen to me,
watching for me daily at my gates,
waiting for me outside my home!
Think on those things today. And let wisdom guide your life.
How can you apply this to your life?
Are there areas in your life that you need to work on?
I would love to hear your thoughts.
